The Library Project

This is the initial landing spot and gateway to various aspects of The Library Project.

It's early days at this point. I am talking with various family members and friends for ideas. One of these friends is a librarian. We hope soon to have some help in better cataloging the books in terms of their location. We also need to develop a distribution, curation and loan policy.

There are over 6000 books in the library at present. The goal is to gain folks who are willing to curate a section of the library and to help handle the loans process. If we can distribute sections of the library out to say ten families who recruit a few helper families, the library can be sustained long after Parkinsons reduces my capacity to manage things.

We are also organising to add a large number of DVDs and Blueray disks, as well as music and audio file disks to the library.

You can get a look at the books and the front-end of the lending catalog at this pinned post.

Locating the 6000+ books

There are here...somewhere! A critical next task is locating and documenting their location as discussed here.

Sancte Joseph, ora pro nobis!
